Morning music and the pictured birth of a Star

There are just days when I wake up and there are songs going on in my head. Sometimes I don't remember all the words, but that song is just playing. I'm talking no radio or computer or TV, just music. Loud music in my head. Walking around the house just waking up, and my heading is singing. This morning I woke up to Jimmy Cliff.

Eh-yeah, wonderful world, beautiful people
You and your girl, things could be pretty
But underneath this there is a secret
That nobody can repeat

Take a look at the world and the state that it's in today
I am sure you'll agree we all could make it a better way
With our love put together ev'rybody learn to love each other
Instead of fussing and fighting, cheating, back-biting,
Scandalising and hating

Baby, we could have a wonderful world, beautiful people
You and your girl things could be pretty
But underneath this there is a secret
That nobody can repeat - yeah now

Man and woman, girl and boy, let us try to give a helping hand
This I know and I'm sure that the love we all could understand
This is our world, can't you see
Ev'rybody wants to live and be free
Instead of fussing and fighting, cheating back-biting
Scandalising and hating

Yeah, we could have a wonderful world, beautiful people
You and your girl things could be pretty
But underneath this there is a secret
That nobody can repeat - mmh yeah yeah

We could have a wonderful world, beautiful people ....

from 'Wonderful World, Beautiful People'

It doesn't stop there, and then you think of other Jimmy Cliff songs, and I can hear the bell, then the bass, then,"Sitting here in Limbo,....". Yet at some point it will fade, and I will read the news about some group of scientist that spent billions building a particle collider machine that if it "works correctly", will create a Black hole and suck out all the life on Earth. Only a possibility, they say. Then I read other scientist growing Human organs. Spending billions of dollars. Why don't they figure out how to grow food and feed all the starving people, with their billions of dollars.

Any who, as my day went on and the song faded in and out, then it changed to some bass riff do do do do,..to do, do do do do,...to do,... the Allman Brothers,...

Well, I've got to run to keep from hiding
And I'm bound to keep on riding
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider
And I don't own the clothes I'm wearing
And the road goes on forever
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let them catch me, no
Not gonna let 'em catch the midnight rider
And I've gone by the point of caring
Some old bed I'll soon be sharing
And I've got one more silver dollar
But I'm not gonna let 'em catch me, no
Not gonna let them catch the midnight rider

I kinda enjoy the fact that I can save on electricity with all this going on in my head. By the time I wrote this blog my head was playing Ricky Nelson.

I'm a travelin' man and I've made a lotta stops all over the world
And in every port I own the heart of at least one lovely girl
I've a pretty senorita waitin' for me down in old Mexico
And if you're ever in Alaska stop and see my cute little Eskimo
Oh my sweet fraulien down in Berlin town makes my heart start to yearn
And my China doll down in old Hong Kong waits for my return
Pretty Polynesian baby over the sea I remember the night
When we walked in the sands of Waikiki and I held you oh so tight
Oh, I'm a travelin' man
Yes, I'm a travelin' man
Yes, I'm a travelin' man
Woe, I'm a travelin' man

Who needs an ipod?,...

Bumba Dee Da,... Happy Trails!
